News Story: Brentwood Town Unveil New Artificial 3G Pitch

by Casey O'Brien

Brentwood Town have resurfaced their pitch with new artificial grass for the new season. The blues currently play in the eighth tier of English football, the Isthmian North.

All those involved at Brentwood Town FC are committed to the club’s success for the benefit of the club and the Brentwood community.

They strongly believe in a culture that promotes equality, diversity, fairness, and good sportsmanship.

Brentwood Town Chairman Jez Dickinson said the new playing surface and improved facilities would be a catalyst for the club to become a community hub.

The club are on a journey to climb the ranks of the English Football pyramid by resurfacing their pitch which resulted in a lot of postponed games last season.

Matchroom Sport CEO Barry Hearn has backed his local club to win promotion this season and start their climb towards the Football League.

Mr Hearn has shared his views on this situation on the BBC by saying “If I can help in a small way, and if other people locally can help in a small way, who knows what we can turn this into?”

Brentwood Town have also made the new pitch available to hire when not in use.

There are already several clubs within the community who have hired this wonderful playing surface, along with a mental health charity.

Brentwood Town have shown their support for the local area by making changes to their ground and they hope to do the same out on the pitch on matchday.
